Curbed Seattle Takes Readers "Back to School" in the Gym at West Queen Anne School

In a recent article published on Curbed Seattle, readers had the chance to go “back to school” as they stepped into The Gym at West Queen Anne School, listed by Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty brokers Sandy Justen and Julie Biniasz. Sarah Lloyd of Curbed outlines the history of the building before moving on to “Unit 110, built in the school’s former gym and auditorium—totaling 2,980 square feet—and listed for $2.8 million.”

As the article describes, “this unit got some extra love from architect Eric Cobb in 2004” and the result “is still believably a former gym, but it’s a sleek example of adaptive reuse.” Some of the features that caught Lloyd’s eye are the “two-story windows stretching up into a cathedral ceiling, a skylight, and a wide-open living, dining, and kitchen area,” which highlight expansive spaces. The former auditorium is home to the second bedroom, library and office, which live large thanks to their floor-to-ceiling windows.
